National Computer Solutions (NCS) was established in September 1995.
Initially private individuals were serviced from home. The client base necessitated expansion and in April 1999 a premises was set up at 141 D Main Rd, Somerset West.NCS started to offer contracts (pre-paid contracts) to individuals and businesses alike. These prepaid contracts were made available at a much lower rate than call-out rates. The client purchase 24-hours in advance for repair, service of computers, training, troubleshooting, etc.
During April 2000 NCS moved to more suitable premises and ventured into the computer retail business to the public and corporate market.
The NCS contracts are very much in demand specifically businesses who require regular on-site repairs, etc. NCS is able to provide up to date specifications on hardware and solutions. Profit on products is kept as low as 10% (for NCS Club members), to enable affordability of computers, as well as components.Since 1998 NCS started providing networking solutions to corporate companies and has also expanded its operation to the Linux world. NCS has also recently become a Intel Advanced Network Reseller (IANR). This enables NCS to supply high quality networks, servers, computers and components for the lowest possible price.NCS is associated with Business and Computer Training Centre (BCTC), a training provider. Training is contracted out to BCTC who specializes in technical and application training.
